Mental performance coaching for athletes

You trainedfor it. Thengame day comes.

Mental preparation for athletes who want to perform when it counts, not just in training. Endurance, hockey, team sports. In English or in French, in Montpellier or online, by a coach who still competes himself.

What goes on in your head

Sound familiar?

Your level is there. On the day that matters, something gets in the way.

  1. 01“In practice I nail it. In competition, I tighten up.”
  2. 02“Around the 30th kilometre, a small voice tells me to stop. And I listen.”
  3. 03“One mistake and my head is gone for the rest of the game.”
  4. 04“I trained for months and still missed my goal.”
  5. 05“Halfway through the season, the drive just disappears.”
  6. 06“I didn't think I needed a mental coach.”

It is not a lack of talent, and not a lack of training. Your body has been prepared. Your mind deserves the same work.

The marathon

At the start, everyone feels fresh.

The legs are there, the plan is clear. You trained for this.

Halfway, it holds.

The pace is set. You run on energy, without asking too many questions.

At kilometre 32, everything tips over.

The energy from the start is gone, and the finish still feels far away. A small voice tells you to stop.

I don't teach you to suffer more.

I prepare you so the small voice telling you to stop no longer gets the last word. The wall does not disappear. But you have an anchor, you know how to project yourself, and you keep going. One step after another.

User guide

If you want to be sure to fall apart…

Five very common habits. Each one looks harmless. Together, they ruin a race or a game better than an injury.

On the start line, La Grande Motte triathlon.

  1. 01Start faster than planned. You'll see at the 30th kilometre.
  2. 02Check your watch every thirty seconds.
  3. 03Replay your last mistake during the next play.
  4. 04Decide to quit in your head long before your legs ask for it.
  5. 05Set a result goal, and nothing else.

Recognised one? That is exactly where we will work.

My method

Observe. Understand. Act.

01

Observe

Before any tool, I identify the kind of fatigue that makes you let go. It is not the same for everyone.

02

Understand

What happens in your head at the exact moment it tips over, and why it tips over right there.

03

Act

Simple answers, built for you. Often, a small daily routine is what changes everything.

Before

  • The small voice decides for you
  • You hit the wall and take it
  • The result goal crushes everything
  • The drive fades mid-season
  • Quitting leaves a regret

After

  • You hear it, and you keep going
  • You saw the wall coming
  • You know what really matters to you
  • A simple routine carries you through
  • You cross the line, and remember it for life

My system

Eight principles to keep moving, even when motivation drops.

Discipline creates freedom.

About me

Kilometre 32, I know it.

I hit it in almost every race. And every time, I keep going.

My last marathon was going fast, I felt great. Then everything stopped at the 32nd kilometre, with more than ten to go. It felt impossible. One step after another, I finished.

  • As a teenagerCycling sports school, 25,000 km a year. I dreamed of the yellow jersey, then it all stopped.

I deliberately limit the number of athletes I coach at the same time. It is the only way to be truly available.

What I hear at the end

The sentence I hear most often.

The people I work with did not expect it. Nor how simple the thing that made the difference would be.

“I didn't think I needed you.”
“I didn't think a small daily routine could change everything.”

FAQ

What you are probably wondering.

Do you coach in English?

Yes. I speak English fluently and run full sessions in English. Many athletes in the Montpellier area train and play far from home, and working in your own language makes a real difference.

Can we work online?

Yes. Sessions work just as well by video call, wherever you are. In person is also possible around Montpellier.

Do I need to be a professional?

No. You need a goal and the will to commit. First marathon, pro contract or national league, the mind gets prepared the same way.

Do you work with teams and clubs?

Yes, through workshops and talks for players and staff, alongside individual coaching for the players who want it.

What is your certification?

I hold the French professional certification “Optimising athletes' mental preparation while protecting their integrity and well-being”, registered by France Compétences, the French national body for professional certifications (RS6785, October 2026).

How much does it cost?

Every goal is different. We talk about it during our first call, once I understand where you are and what you are aiming for.
